We are now seeking a Project Officer to join our diverse and energetic team!

About the role

Within City Strategy, the Corporate Strategy team leads and delivers on the City’s long-term vision with action on the ground – through effective integrated planning, prioritisation, partnerships and collaboration.

Reporting to a Senior Project Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • Embedding our strategy into everything we do – from setting our vision, leading our alliance program and key external partnerships toward positive City outcomes, and tracking and reporting success within Council.
  • Leading and supporting implementation of Council’s Integrated Planning and Reporting (IP&R) framework, developing and monitoring the City-wide Community Strategic Plan, and Council’s Delivery Program and Operational Plan.
  • Leading and supporting the coordination of Council’s strategic alliance program, to embed strategy and advocacy in our partnerships and deliver mutual benefits for the City.

About you

We’re looking for someone with a strong focus on continuous improvement, with experience in strategy, corporate / business planning or strategic partnerships. You will have proven stakeholder engagement skills and capability to work effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Applicants may come from a wide range of backgrounds, however they will be enthusiastic, driven and proactive.

The City Strategy Team is a multi-disciplinary team, with an agile operating model, working towards prioritised outcomes. This approach is suited to those who are accustomed to nimble working environments, and can quickly change focus or prioritise their work program as needed.

The Asset Manager will manage a range of Council land transactions.

About the role

This position is responsible for the implement and management of property plans and programs to ensure Council’s land and building assets facilitate effective delivery of services to achieve Council’s strategic objectives and vision of being the leading City in the heart of Sydney. This position is responsible for the management of Council’s real property land assets and delivery of property related services.

The Asset Manager will be responsible for residents, partner and community relationships, and contributing to continuous improvement to deliver on the PASS vision to reinvigorate City of Parramatta’s land portfolio to make sound, value-driven decisions on behalf of our customers and community. Your daily task will consist of;

  • compulsory acquisitions of land
  • negotiation of leases/licences for land
  • land purchases and sales
  • temporary occupation of community land
  • underground rock anchor agreements
  • Local Government Act land issues

About You

The successful candidate should have:

  • Land transaction experience, with a proven track record of achieving objectives.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering easements, licences and other land transactions and processes.
  • Demonstrable detailed understanding of the relevant legislative and regulatory requirements applicable to land transactions and the ability to practically apply this knowledge.
  • Experience working in land registry systems and GIS applications.
  • Tertiary qualification in property, land economics, property management, asset management or a related discipline.
