As a Guest Service Manager, you’ll work as part of the reception team and will play a key role in ensuring the effective running of the reception, ensuring standards and procedures are adhered to along with the compliance of operational and finance procedure and controls. You will be fanatical about delivering high standards and motivate the team to excel in looking after our guests from check in to check out. You will ensure the team are trained to ensure the team and the guests are safe and well looked after. You will also manage poor performance to continually raise the standard of the reception and the guest experience. You will also be a good communicator who understands the importance of cross / inter- departmental communication and regularly review guest reviews and feedback to improve service levels. You may also need to deputise in the absence of the General Manager.

About the role – Sales Manager

The Sales & Marketing Team is responsible for generating revenue for all aspects of the business and for maximizing the profitability. They are also responsible for coordinating with all the other teams to ensure efficient management of the revenue and simplifying work systems.

Some of the daily responsibilities are but are not limited to:

  • Total account management of existing accounts and active acquisition of new accounts to meet agreed targets.
  • Proactively looking for new business opportunities to bring revenue to the hotel.
  • Analysis local market trends and competitor activity to identify business leads.
  • Actively sell the image and all services of the hotel both in print and verbally.
  • Answer customer queries in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Attending networking and industry related events.
  • Work within current business strategies and recognising potential opportunities.
  • Cooperate with other departments in the hotel to create an exceptional Guest experience and build strong, comprehensive sales programs.

About you:

The role is ideal for an experienced Sales Executive or Junior Sales Manager who already gained work experience in the same or similar role, preferably within a 4- start hotel environment.
